Moderators Melba23 Posted February 23, 2009 Moderators Posted February 23, 2009 mesale0077,First, welcome to the AutoIt forums. When you post here it always helps if you have had a go at solving your problems beforehand. Having some code to work on is a great help - and no-one here is too keen to help the "code it for me" brigade.Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously.Using the forum Search (up on the right of the Taskbar at the top) is another good tip.You should also look at the excellent tutorials that you will find here and here.M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
SpookMeister Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 Welcome. You should also note that the quality of the answers you get from here usually improves depending on how clearly you express your issue. If English is not your native language, try one of the many on-line translators. And if that doesn't work, try posting in your native language, many people who visit here are multi-lingual and often will be happy to help you get your question across. OK, Mr. Nice guy just left... If English is your primary language, learn how to use it. Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
