hello, i have been using scite for a while now and was wondering what the pro's use..

so what do you use and does it have major benifits over scite.....

is there an editor that you can instantly see a variable change... (without using consolewrite).

thanks

Kip was working on Visual AutoIt but I haven't heard about that project in a while.

I use SciTE for the most part, but sometimes edit scripts in notepad.

i think scite is the best script editor, I havent tried any other, but theres lot of them ..

here is some editors that i found in autoit V3 download section >

Textpad >http://www.textpad.com/

Crimson Editor >http://www.crimsoneditor.com/

PSPad >http://www.pspad.com/

But scite is the best ,i find it much more easier than other editors , for u it might be different try the links and download if you want to try ..

I just hate the coloring that it defaults to. Both the regular installation and the AutoIt installation.

What? I bet you don't like "Froot Loops" either :P

Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
As mentioned a few time: Submit your Color schema for inclusion in the standard installation which currently contains a selection of 3 schema's.

Nah. I just change it on my own. I'm not too worried about it.
