What you need is the perl interpreter. Use the standard DOS parameters in a run() command to call the script. If .pl extension is associated with the interpreter on your system shellexecute the script directly will do too. Look up run()+StdoutRead() to capture console results.

By doing this via command line will be manual...but I want the perl script to get invoked automatically...Can this be done using autoIt?
