New To AutoIT

Hi thier,

I am very new to this tool and I am thus far very impressed as to it raw power.

But I am a little confussed I am trying to build some of my own Include files to help me organize the project that I am attemping to build.

I've looked though the Include Directory and the files that are suppiled to get an idea of how to write the file.

But I don't understand why the Func Names in the include files that I have looked at are coloured Blue. Where as the Methods that I have written in my Little test include file are Black.

Have I done something wrong ? or am i missing somthing ?

any help or advise would be very apprecated.

Thanking you all in advance.

to explaind it easy,

You did not done anything wrong, coloured Blue functions ar predefined with Scite (autoit editor) to b in that color. When you make your func, and geave it your func name, scite dont have that func name in his list and that is why he cant make it to b in that collor.

Au3impact - Another 3D DLL game engine for autoit. (3impact 3Drad related)

I expect there is a way to get the colour, so searching might find something.

In case it's any help, there is a link in my signature for a script to add calltips to your own functions which I found saved me a lot of time.

Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script.
