Copy email and open thunderbird compose email window

Recommended Posts

I use outlook 2007 as contact manager and calendar.

To do mail merge Outlook has to be the default email client so I made Outlook my default mailer.

However I use Thunderbird as email client.

Would it be possible to do this:

1) COPY email address where I have the mouse

2) Look if Thunderbird client is open, if is not open OPEN thunderbird.

3) Open new compose window in Thunderbird and copy email address in TO:

?

Is mail merge a frequent function for you? If it is not something you do daily, then I would look at keeping Thunderbird as your default client normally, and only switching it to Outlook when you need that functionality (then going back).

Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
Yes I use mail merge frequent.

I think I have find a solution.

I've seen that there is no mouse select key in Autoit.

p.e. if I have my mouse on an email address would it be possible to copy this address?
