Always compile a script with a specific icon

4 posts in this topic

I have a few scripts that i have designed that I want to compile with a specific icon always. First, is this possible and second where would I need to insert the code? Cause I know there is a command line version for the compiler but I wondered if there was a way to compile the script with a specific icon when I was using Scite and hit F7 to go ahead and compile the script.

Thanks and any help is appreciated

What I did was delete all the default icons inside the SCITE folder, then only have the icon I wanted in there. I found it would use that as the default icon.

Ok I thought about maybe making a batch file and compiling it that way. It would be awesome if we could configure the compiling options on the fly inside our scripts. Not sure how feesable that is though.

Look in your Scite folder, there should be an AutoIt3Wrapper folder (maybe you need the full Scite, not lite, not sure)

So, you can use the directives for the wrapper... example :

#Region ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI ****
#AutoIt3Wrapper_Icon=*path to the file*
#AutoIt3Wrapper_UseUpx=n   ;don't use UPX
#EndRegion ;**** Directives created by AutoIt3Wrapper_GUI ****

MsgBox (4096, "Just", "an example")

You can also edit the Directives.au3 wih values to override the defaults.
