I get this error in the IE.au3 function. Why?

C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Include\IE.au3 (316) : ==> The requested action with this object has failed.:
$o_object.navigate($s_Url)
$o_object.navigate($s_Url)^ ERROR
>Exit code: 1   Time: 21.475

I have a funny squeak under the hood of my car. Why?

Check the error codes after each function call. Probable that the object was not created or you called the navigation incorrectly. No more code = no more help.

I think you should post your code

Here it is:

#include <GuiConstants.au3>
#include <IE.au3>

GUICreate('test',500,500)
$g=GUICtrlCreateButton('go',10,10,400,20)
$ie=_IECreateEmbedded()
GUISetState()

While 1
    If GUIGetMsg()=$GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Then Exit
    If GUIGetMsg()=$g Then _IENavigate($ie,'www.google.com')
WEnd

I have a funny squeak under the hood of my car. Why?

Why don't you go to a mechanic? :)

This is the forum of AutoIt, not a forum of cars.

That comment about the squeak in the car was just a paraphrased version of your first post, they amounted to the same thing.

#include <GuiConstants.au3>
#include <IE.au3>
$ie=_IECreateEmbedded()
GUICreate('test',500,500)
$g=GUICtrlCreateButton('go',10,10,400,20)
$g_obj = GUICtrlCreateObj($ie, 10, 40, 480, 440)

GUISetState()

While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
       Switch $msg
           Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
                 Exit
           Case $g
                 _IENavigate($ie,'http://www.google.com')
       EndSwitch
WEnd
