file permissions

Hi everybody

Does it's possible to check permission on a file (if my account is administrator, of course)

i have to chack permission for a specific file on thousand of computer and i would like to script that

It does not seem possible with AU standard functions or UDFs... check out these posts, esp. CACLS.exe seems easy to implement with a run() and StdoutRead().

Ok i tryed to use cacls.exe, but when i use it with a variable, i just get the resust of the executable ( 0 )

Does it's possible to get the real result as you see it in a cmd command ???

Check out the StdoutRead() example. If implemented right, it will return exactly what you see in the cmd command window.
