AAA Video Player - Alpha

Recommended Posts

Hi!

This is a fully functional video player that is powered by DirectShow to provide the best speed, stability, file support and features.

The DirectShow renderer is VMR9, which is utilizing Direct3D9, making playback hardware powered.

Some of the features are:

  • Most video format available (through installed filters)
  • Minimal GUI, designed not to interupt
  • Saving favourite videos
  • Taking snapshots
  • All in one menu (context menu)
The todo list is pretty much this:

  • Settings dialog
  • More hotkeys
  • Option to change file associations.
  • What do you think?
Oh, this is also a cooperative project including me and AdmiralAlkex :D

A screenshot of the player in use:

Download below, with source code (au3 part) and compiled exe.

Ps. There is a well hidden easter egg, find it and get cookie!

Ds. Don't forget to check out the sister project. AAA Thumbnailer

This is obviously incredibly great.

Must-have.

Hidden stuff (easter egg) is that sound "aaughhhh" that you get when "about" message is on and you do CTRL+Left mouse.

Thanks monoceres! I’ve been looking to resolve an issue where some videos play extremely fast in a player that I got from another AutoIt Forum thread. Those same videos play perfectly in you script, and yours supports many more file types. I’ll be “borrowing” a bunch of your coding in order to use DSEngine.DLL for the video player in my script.

Fine player - but have an issue with Windows 7: I want to use the "WMR" - renderer, because with wmr9 renderer my video output is pixelatet (so it is with wmr, but no longer if "aero is off"). How can I force the player to use wmr?
