  7. Hi everyone Hope you're doing great today. Well, I have a little question about extracting a certain string from a file name to make comparison after treatment. Let's get into the details: First of all, I gather and store a machine BIOS Version by running this: RunWait(@ComSpec & " /c " & "wmic bios get SMBIOSBIOSVERSION >> C:\Drivers\Tag.txt" & @CRLF, "", @SW_HIDE, "$STDOUT_CHILD") _FileWriteToLine("c:\Drivers\BIOS_Version.txt", 1, "", 1) $sContent = FileRead ("C:\Drivers\BIOS_Version
  8. Hello. I am working in an chatbot script, which has a GUI and can interact by words. I need to know how can I make the bot extract answers from Google or Wikipedia (if possible) and output them into an edit box. For example: When I type "what is Autoit" the bot should return: "AutoIt /ɔːtoʊ ɪt/ is a freeware automation language for Microsoft Windows." Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
  9. Hello good friends of Autoit, so I am making a chatbot using Autoit but I got stuck on this part: I already have stringright($var, stringlen($var) - stringlen(" = ") - StringInStr($var," = ") + 1) the program is made to read a text file and extract from a specific line the text after = and before =, for example: example line of text file: something = okay this is a text and I needed to extract the right part (which I already have done) and the left part (which I need help with) so how can you make stringleft to get all text before "="? Thanks in advance. Here's my code if you need it: #include

  11. I regularly receive a multipage Tiff file, and I need to store the individual uncompressed Tiff images in a database. I currently perform this with a combination of Autoit and VFP, but I'd like to eliminate VFP from the process. I found >this thread, which shows how to access the individual frames within the Tiff file. However, I'm unsure how to best use this so that I end up with a string containing the uncompressed Tiff image that can then be written to the database. I would like to accomplish this without writing the image to a temp file on disk. Can anyone assist me with this or get
  12. PE File Overlay Extraction (and Certificate info) Executable and other PE files can contain "overlays", which is data that is appended to the end of the file. This data can be important, such as setup packages, Authenticode signatures*, and overlays for AutoIt scripts. Or it could just be extra unneeded cruft (sometimes). Whatever the case is, I wanted to find a way to detect if this data was present. This project is actually a result of dealing with so-called 'File Optimizer' programs that would strip Overlay information from Executables (leaving compiled AutoIt scripts crippled!). An
  13. A3X Script Extract With newer versions of AutoIT (v3.3.10.0+), the compiled script is no longer appended to files as an overlay, and instead is embedded as a binary resource. This leads my previous AutoIt-script detection UDF lacking. However, since that UDF (>PE File Overlay Extraction) was targeted towards overlays in general, its still a worthwhile tool to have. This UDF on the other hand is pretty specific - it lets you detect and optionally extract A3X scripts from a compiled executable. The method is rather straightforward - it looks for a resource type of RT_RCDATA with a res
