AutoItSetOption("TrayIconDebug",1) Win seven doesn't work

Recommended Posts

I have many scripts that worked fine in XP and I can't figure out how to get

AutoItSetOption("TrayIconDebug",1)

To work in Windows Seven. Not compiled

Running Windows Seven Ultimate with all current updates.

Autoit ver. 3.3.4.0

Thanks,

Thanubis,

I think that Help file entry is a hangover from the past - it should read that it "does not work on earlier versions", which is not a problem as AutoIt no longer supports them! The option works fine on Vista.

Edit: Latest Help file says: "TrayTip works for only Windows 2000/XP or better"

docfxit,

Can you get a normal TrayTip command to display?

In Windows7, the tray no longer automatically updates. This is new and intended behavior in Windows 7.

Yes. The TrayTip works just fine.
