_Stringbetween returns arrays but how to find out how many arrays it returns?

Recommended Posts

It returns on array, Im assuming you meant results, and also that the between exists

$aArray1 = _StringBetween('[18][20][3][5][500][60]', '[', ']')

$HowManyDidItFind = UBound($aArray1)

Thought it is obvious - If function dont find the string it doesnt return array - just 0.

If you dont check for that your script will crash.

Just a clarification ,maybe should have written something to be more clear.

@Edit

Didnt notice that my copy paste of the return value replaced my text lines where pointing you to be careful and check the returned value.

$iCount = Ubound($aArray1)-1

Will return the number of elements in the array.

Wont that return the number of elements - 1 ?

local $array[6] ;0 - 5
MsgBox(0,"",UBound($array)) ; = 6

Success: A 0 based $array[0] contains the first found string.

I'm usuall wrong like.

Correct, me bad. I'm so used to using uBound()-1 in a loop that I type it automatticly.
