noob question about read a text from windows's window

First of all sorry for my bad english

I just whant to make my first professional script and i whant to know if you can give me some way to work on the read command from the autoit programme

I whant make an input box to find printer on my server

now i wanna tell to autoit when i am in the correct windows to find the printer that i just put in the "input box" how to search the text in the windows ??

i tryed to find topic in the forum to get some exemple but i dont find userfull topic for beginner in that kinda type of command can you show me the way plz

Can you write logic of what you want to achieve more clearly? As far i understood you have a form with input box, where you type the name of a printer and you want to find some window of that printer?
