Flashing Autoit Icon in Taskbar

Recommended Posts

Hey forum! I'm a brand new member here and had a problem with using autoit.

i recorded a series of scripts that were all working a little bit ago, however all of a sudden when i try to test the recorded scripts again i get a flashing autoit icon and red X in the taskbar and the script is paused.

has anyone ran into this before? If i record a new script it ends up working again.

Thanks in advance

thanks wakillon:)

no I think i figured out what happened.

I was recording mouse movements

and i think for example i didn't have the window

EXACTLY the way it was recorded.

Once i put the windows correctly it would once

again continue with the recorded mouse clicks

and movements:)

4 Months for answer me, your are too fast ! Posted Image

haha wow it's been awhile hasn't it;) I was just getting into it and then forgot all about autoit.

You should really move away from that recording and use mousecoordmode which will work wherever your window is.

appreciate the recommendation, can you point me in the direction on where to start using that? I've never heard of that before. That definitely sounds so much better. I've found the recording option is VERY PICKY and very limited - if anything is off it just messes up everything.
