iTunes Com Objects

10 posts in this topic

I was wondering if anyone had this information on hand before I request it directly from the iTunes forums (I'd have to create an account for that)

But I wanted to learn more about manipulation iTunes and Torles told me he found the info on their website. I searched for about an hour and found nothing :)

So I was wondering if anyone had/knew the location of the com info.

Thanks

Well I have the Help File, but just not sure about redistributing it...can't attach the type of file to forum anyway. I can email it if you want, it's a CHM

Did the help file come with iTunes? If so, I have it. But you can email me it, just incase. I'll PM my email.

It comes with the iTunes SDK, but I can't link it because you need to log in to ADC first.

Got it. Thank's a lot, this looks like it will help.

I am trying to get the time left from a song, which Torles didn't have in his UDF :)

THanks :)

Oh ok... I think it's the PlayerPosition property. I believe it works on the iTunes app object but I'm not sure.

Never done anything with COM before so this looks tricky :)

But we'll see.

I'm thinking something like this...

$aCurrentTrackinfo = _iTunes_Current_GetInfo()
$iCurrentTrackDuration = $aCurrentTrackinfo[7]   ;Duration in seconds
$iCurrentPos  = $iTunesApp.PlayerPosition       ;**should** return your current  position in seconds. (don't have iTunes on this PC)

$timeLeft = $iCurrentTrackDuration - $iCurrentPos
