Show file list in the notepad as listview.

This is rather useless to the general public here. Please consider not using the example forum as your personal snippet archive. There are plenty of useful scripts in here that can assist you with that task however.

Why in the world are you sending it to Notepad with the variable $output, and then reading the contents of Notepad and putting it into $Text to save it to a file? Just save the $output information directly to the file and avoid the whole BS of using Notepad in the first place.


If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I get the impression the author is a beginner, so I don't know why the fury accompanys the tips.

@ Laymanball: I was not asking you to alter the code, my question was a general one that notepad usually asks to be saved when its contents have changed.

I'm going to assume for now its something to do with the owner, but I'm just guessing.
