Verify Web Page

Recommended Posts

Hello and THANKS for any assistance.

I have an autoit script. I would like for it to check a status before it executes something. I have a web page on my web server. the web page file will have one of two words, On or Off. Is there a way to read the page such as maybe using IEDocReadHtml or something without actually opening a web browser and going to that page?

My goal would be to only allow this script function to run if I have an allow status on my web page. This way i could control whether or not the script i create will work and when.

I would like to just quietly read that web page and get a result. If the IDDocReadHtml could work then i could just use StringRegExp unless there is another easier way to accomplish this.

Thanks again for taking the time to reply!!!!!
