AutoBit Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Hi everyone, I wrote a simple script that worked on win 7 but the same script doesn't work on win 8. I used "ShellExcute to" run an "exe" file which works fine! Later when i want to send {ENTER} to a window the window doesn't response to it. While(WinActive("[CLASS:#32770]") = 0) WinActivate("[CLASS:#32770]") WEnd Send("{enter}") I Tried other commands that didn't work and i read in the forum about it but i didn't see any solution to my problem. I turned off the the UAC ! any advice?

AutoBit Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 No, It's a regular Window of an app.
KaFu Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 Are you sure "CLASS:#32770" is still valid? Check it with the AU3Info Tool. JohnOne Posted February 24, 2013 Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) If the window running is elevated higher then that of your account, then Send might possibly fail (I think) Try #RequireAdmin Edited February 24, 2013 by JohnOne AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans.
ahha Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Go here to #8 is a way to test under program control if elevation is needed (winmove test).
