hi.

i just started learning autoit today, any references as to were to start? i know programming in theory but never used any programming languish myself

also another question, i don't understand y this simple one line scritpt dosent work 

DirMove ("C:test2", "C:test1")
 
>"C:Program Files (x86)AutoIt3SciTE..autoit3.exe" /ErrorStdOut "C:Users55Desktoptest.au3"    
>Exit code: 0    Time: 0.05282

I tried your code and it doesn't work for me either. I cannot figure it out with dirmove. It looks like a bug. I am using Windows 7 x64 to test.

This worked!

Welcome to the AutoIt forums. :)

Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at this excellent tutorial - you will find other tutorials in the Wiki (the link is at the top of the page). There are even video tutorials on YouTube if you prefer watching to reading.
