Hi I am new to AutoIt. I am using ControlClick function to click on a custom tab in outlook whose position is not static but this function is not working at all for me.

Given below are the details of that tab tracked using Finder tool:

>>>> Window <<<<
Title: Inbox - Nupur@sample.org - Outlook
Class: rctrl_renwnd32
Position: -8, -8
Size: 1456, 876
Style: 0x17CF0000
ExStyle: 0x00040100
Handle: 0x0001023E

>>>> Control <<<<
Class: NetUIHWND
Instance: 1
ClassnameNN: NetUIHWND1
Name:
Advanced (Class): [CLASS:NetUIHWND; INSTANCE:1]
ID:
Text:
Position: 0, 0
Size: 1440, 147
ControlClick Coords: 414, 41
Style: 0x57030000
ExStyle: 0x00000000
Handle: 0x00010244

>>>> Mouse <<<<
Position: 414, 37
Cursor ID: 0
Color: 0xFFFFFF

I don't want to use MouseClick function. Please help.

Thanks

As J1 alluded to, you could not have possibly provided less information if you'd been trying. Start with something basic, like which control in Outlook you're trying to click on or what your overall goal is.

Hi,

I want to click on a tab in Outlook whose position may vary. So I don't want to use mouseClick function as it accepts the coordinates.

The function I've used is:

ControlClick("Inbox - Nupur@sample.org - Outlook","","[CLASS:NetUIHWND, INSTANCE:1]")

But it is returning 0. Details of finder tool are given in first thread.
