BrewManNH Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 In simplest terms, you can't do it with that WMI Class. Even though it has a method called SetSpeed, according to MSDN it's not implemented, meaning even if you use SetSpeed it won't do anything. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. MikahS Posted November 26, 2014 Posted November 26, 2014 Look at SpeedFan. It's not with AutoIt, but I doubt you can control fan speed with just AutoIt. Snips & Scripts My Snips: graphCPUTemp ~ getENVvarsMy Scripts: Short-Order Encrypter - message and file encryption V1.6.1 ~ AuPad - Notepad written entirely in AutoIt V1.9.4 Feel free to use any of my code for your own use. Hidix17 Posted November 27, 2014 Author Posted November 27, 2014 So , It is impossible with AutoIt? :-(
Moderators Solution SmOke_N Posted November 27, 2014 Moderators Solution Posted November 27, 2014 Speedfan is mentioned, guess you could automate that. http://www.advantech.com/embcore/img/embedded_software_api.pdf I believe they have a library/dll you could use, but I would assume you'd need to be proficient in understanding api calls. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
