Selectable label

Recommended Posts

I know this ain't much (nothing for autoit experts) but can help someone who was looking for a selectable label ;)

(I used the hex values to avoid #include <EditConstants.au3>, the vars are in comment in front of the 2nd line)

$Form1 = GUICreate("Test", 351, 50)
$Label1 = GUICtrlCreateEdit("Selectable Label", 10, 4, 176, 20, 0x0800,0x00000020) ;$ES_READONLY, $WS_EX_TRANSPARENT
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case -3
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

PS: I think the same could be accomplished with GUICtrlCreateInput()

Heroes, there is no such thing

One day I'll discover what IE.au3 has of special for so many users using it.
C'mon there's InetRead and WinHTTP, way better

You seem to be providing rather than questioning, but apart from this probably not being the correct place for an Example, I'm not understanding the benefit.

You can make a genuine Label clickable, by just using $SS_NOTIFY

And it can be made to change color etc if necessary, to show it is selected.

Otherwise, it seems you are only repeating what anyone could get quite simply, and we do, from the Help file.

Perhaps I'm missing something?

      The following code creates a IE blank window
      Local $oIE = _IECreate()
      But when i use Navigate to the URL, it open the URL in Microsoft Edge instead if IE.
      _IENavigate($oIE,$url)
      What should i do to navigate in IE.
      Complete code :
      #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> #include <WinAPIFiles.au3> #include <IE.au3> #Region TESTING Local $url = 'https://www.youtube.com' Local $oIE = _IECreate() _IENavigate($oIE,$url) #EndRegion Console Output
      IE.au3 T3.0-2 Error from function _IELoadWait, $_IESTATUS_ClientDisconnected (-2147023174, Browser has been deleted prior to operation.)
      I have searched the forums but did not find such kind of post.
      Other posts were describing How to use Edge using Web driver selenium.

      Edit: I am working in Windows10. Recently many changes have been done by Microsoft to IE and Microsoft Edge. (2020)
      Earlier in 2019 this was working fine.

      This UDF allows to create formatted label using pseudo element RichLabel (RichEdit actually). Formating is set by using special modificator similar to <font> tag in Html.
      Notes: This UDF is a transformation-continuation of related UDF

      Example:
      Download:
      GUIRichLabel_1.2.zip
      Small syntax related fix: GUIRichLabel_1.1.zip
      GUIRichLabel_1.1.zip

      Hi guys,
      I'm learning about GUI's, I'm trying the below code, the idea being if I press the letter "e" while I have the GUI open I want the label color to change to green (I'm using a UDF for label colors). But every time I press "e" on my keyboard I just get a "ding" sound from my speakers and nothing changes with the label.
      I've looked at using something like "While GUIGetMsg() <> $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE" as I've seen it in other code instead of "While 1", but I don't think it's relevant.
      #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>; for GUI... #include <GUIRichLabel.au3>; UDF for rich text label fonts #include <Misc.au3>; for _IsPressed $myLetter = "e" $hGUI = GUICreate("test", 700, 60) $lbl2 = _GUICtrlRichLabel_Create($hGUI, '<font color="purple">' & $myLetter & '</font>', 10, 10); , 260, 25 GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) Local $hDLL = DllOpen("user32.dll") While 1 if _IsPressed(Hex($myLetter), $hDLL) Then While _IsPressed(Hex($myLetter), $hDLL) Sleep(250) WEnd _GUICtrlRichLabel_SetData($lbl2, '<font color="green">' & $myLetter & '</font>') Sleep(2000) DllClose($hDLL) Exit EndIf Sleep(50) WEnd DllClose($hDLL) I am using an array of letters that I'm wanting to do this for, but as I can't get it to work I've stripped it down to the simplest code I can think of to try and get this working first. Appreciate any help.
      Thanks!

      Hello Guru's,

      I'm trying to write an autoit script to select from the dropdown list as you see in the attached picture.
      I read the help page for _IEFormElementOptionSelect, but I cannot grasp how to correlate that with the source code that I'm seeing. any suggestions?
