GetSystemTime incorrect...?

Recommended Posts

So, I'm trying to utilize the GetSystemTime function but its not right somehow..?

#include <Date.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>

   $tSystem = _Date_Time_GetSystemTime()
    $tFile = _Date_Time_SystemTimeToFileTime(DllStructGetPtr($tSystem)
    $Time = _Date_Time_FileTimeToStr($tFile)
    MsgBox(0, "Test", $Time)

Gives me 9/9/2015 but my clock says 9/8/2015 and if I edit a file on my PC I also get the last modified of 9/8/2015.

Now I'm not sure what the GetSystemTime correlates to or what but what function can I use that goes off of what I have set as my system clock?

The time returned by the misnamed function is the time in UTC, and not your local time. I'm guessing that you're in some time zone to the west of UTC time. If you're looking for the actual current local time then you need to use _Date_Time_GetLocalTime instead.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
