Hi, @elico1. Yes, AutoIt is capable of working with databases. You can look at the SQLite functions in the help file. If you're working with something else (Access, SQL, Oracle) there are plenty of example threads throughout the forum.

For the record, SQLite databases aren't limited to toy sizes nor basic complexity. SQLite is an embedded SQL engine, contrary to traditional client-server architectures. So it is meant to be linked to a (truly) compiled application or invoked as a loadable library. SQLite C code is portable over every platform you can dream of and its database files are binary portable as well. It is one of the 5 most widely used piece of complex software ever made and surely the most widely deployed database engine ever.

Indeed. In fact almost everyone knowingly or indirectly uses a number of copies of SQLite: every smartphone, smart TVs, GPSs, xDSL boxes, routers, cable boxes, every PC and Mac (multiple copies each), telecom infrastructure equipment, SCADA devices and systems, ...  It's pretty hard to live in 2015 and not use or benefit from SQLite!

So yes, it's Great Open Free SQLite.

I'd suggest also using DBeaver (free software) that acts like SSMS and you can connect to SQLite DBs. I use DBeaver to model my SQLite DBs then use autoit to call them rather then do everything via the command line.

I personnally use SQLite Expert. The freeware version already does a lot of things. In fact I don't even create applications: I only use Expert!

Depending on your demands, you could even look at XML ... or my preference of INI files for simple database needs.
