Renderer Posted February 12, 2016 Share Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) Hello guys! Last month i bought a new HDD from a local PC store. It seemed to work great until yesterday, when HDD sentinel notified me the Health of the HDD decreased from 88% to 35%. I've tried to reinstall the OS. I usually use WinXP sp2. When i tried to format the new partition , the progress stopped at around 25%. I do not know what the fact is. The software i've mentioned above, tells me there are 585 bad sectors on the disk surface, even though it has never suffered a physical shock/injury. If these bad sectors are logical bad sectors, is there any way to fix them? I had a look on various websites, but they didn't help me too much.I rather ask someone to tell me the answer.
