Memory reading.

Hi all. 

Actually i am trying to improve my memory read/write skill and dll also/ 

 

I want to tryout how to memory read & write with cheat engine. 

I heard that there is a udf to work with cheat engine named NomadMemory.au3 

This UDF as been improved with an fonction named  MemoryGetBaseAddressUDF so, I added it into my main udf NomadMemory.au3 so I work with only one file. 

 

So actually I'm trying to understand how it work so here is what I got. 

 

I work with CheatEngine Tutorial to play with changing values. 

 

So i got the Health : 93 inside an memory adresse : 

 

 

And so I made a code to try to find this memory region and read it. 

 

Here is my first issue already  :

I was pretty sure to get such answer yeah i am sure since i am not automating any game and this is not game related about my purpose too. 

 

If you say me we cannot discuss about that here I will try to find a way to turn cheat engine off and play with somthing else. If you allow it of course.. 

 

It is just that cheat engine is the perfect "tool" to do that.

The cheat engine for sure is, but just because it is a tutorial you feel it is ok?

Well.. I am using a tool and want to do same as it. Cheat engine is just here to show me memory values and check if my script got same values when it will work. If it is.... 
The fact that there is a value named health dont make the tool a game. 

 

Just say me @Jos what i have to do, to be able to go further ? 

Or even if i can use somthing else to improve myself ? 

 

I can in an other case make a script and try to read it if you prefer. Is that ok for you ?
