Hello..

I have a fully patched Windows 11 device, to 6/13/2026 levels, that I installed AutoIt 3.3.18.0 onto.

When I fire up the SceTE editor the window shows up as expected.

If I click on the Help item in the menu bar and then the 'About SceTE' the app crashes.

If I click into the area of the window to enter a program, the app crashes.

The Windows Application Event log has the following for these crashes.

A search of the articles here mentioned SciTE crashes from the last couple of years. But nothing in 2026.

I'm open to suggestions on how to stop the app crashes.

Thanks.

Paul

I have MSVCP140.DLL in a number of folders under C:\Windows\.... such as System32 and SYSWOW64 among other.

And there is vcruntime140.dll in the same directories.

And
