davgkill
i'm trying to create a mappack installer for hl2dm but the problem is people have their steam installations all over the place! First I need to detect where their steam is either through the registry which i can do or finding where the steam.exe process comes from. I probably now have that one solved! Secondly in their steamapps folder you need to know their username folder to extract the maps into...C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\*\half-life 2 deathmatch* is their username! is there anyway to search for the subfolders in steamapps and see if that subfolder has another folder inside called half-life 2 deathmatch?! I found this script by MsCreatoR but I don't really know how to use it...This might help: Edited June 22, 2007 by davgkill

MrCreatoR
I found this script by MsCreatoR but I don't really know how to use it...This is not realy my script, but using it is very simple - it returns array with all paths including subfolders of given dir, and you can just work with it like with any other standard (one-demensional) array, loop it and use the elements Spoiler Using OS: Win 7 Professional, Using AutoIt Ver(s): 3.3.6.1 / 3.3.8.1 AutoIt Russian Community My Work...
