Where this works perfectly well:

run ( $prog2 & ' ' &' -r -E -b '& $optionread & ' "'&GUICtrlRead($file)&'"')

If I add this:

run ( $prog2 & ' ' &' -r -E -b '& $optionread & ' "'&GUICtrlRead($file)&'"', @SW_HIDE) it doesn't.

I get an unable to execute external program error.
