Variables common to several scripts

I would like to have a text file or something similar that contains some variables that will be used in several scripts (First name, Last name, etc.). When I run any of these scripts, I would like it to load the variables that are currently saved in the text file. This will prevent me from having to type the same information more than once.

A related question, what's the best way to call a script from within a script (ex: If example.xls is closed, Then run openexamplefile.exe (which opens the file, types the password..etc))?

iniread()

You're right...ini's are the best way to go. I made a script which asks me all the questions I need for my other scripts (what is the first name?) and save the answers to an ini. The other scripts then read the ini.
