sb1920alk Posted September 12, 2008 Posted September 12, 2008 I would like to have a text file or something similar that contains some variables that will be used in several scripts (First name, Last name, etc.). When I run any of these scripts, I would like it to load the variables that are currently saved in the text file. This will prevent me from having to type the same information more than once. A related question, what's the best way to call a script from within a script (ex: If example.xls is closed, Then run openexamplefile.exe (which opens the file, types the password..etc))?

sb1920alk Posted September 18, 2008 Author Posted September 18, 2008 iniread() You're right...ini's are the best way to go. I made a script which asks me all the questions I need for my other scripts (what is the first name?) and save the answers to an ini. The other scripts then read the ini.
