how to match more than one word with one

Recommended Posts

Hi,

there are some names check them in code i have tried to do what i want.

; Names
$A1 = "Jeorge"
$B2 = "Kathrien"
$C3 = "Steward"
$D4 = "Norma"
$E5 = "Arthur"
; Check in @ComputerName
$1 = StringInStr(@ComputerName, $A1)
$2 = StringInStr(@ComputerName, $B2)
$3 = StringInStr(@ComputerName, $C3)
$4 = StringInStr(@ComputerName, $D4)
$5 = StringInStr(@ComputerName, $E5)
; Check in @UserName
$A = StringInStr(@UserName, $A1)
$B = StringInStr(@UserName, $B2)
$C = StringInStr(@UserName, $C3)
$D = StringInStr(@UserName, $D4)
$E = StringInStr(@UserName, $E5)

now i want if any name is in code like $A1 or $B2 are in the user name or in the computer name than script should work. otherwise give a message and get closed.

like if the word $E5 = "Arthur" exists in computer name or user name than script will stop checking other names and go to the function() i want, otherwise it will check all the other names and if it did not find anyone in user name or computer name than it will give a message and close itself.

Maybe you could try to reread your post and ask yourself if you made a clear case....

Replace 1 with 0 in StringInStr funcs

$s_Names = "Jeorge:Kathrien:Steward:Norma:Arthur:L0veUK:Cw2K1:Mobius:Ahsan:Bhutta"
$a_Names = StringSplit($s_Names, ":")

For $i = 1 To $a_Names[0]
    If StringInStr(@UserName, $a_Names[$i], 0) Or StringInStr(@ComputerName, $a_Names[$i], 0) Then
MsgBox(0, $a_Names[$i], "Your code Goes here....")
        Exit
    EndIf
Next

MsgBox(0, "Error", "No valid names found.")
