does anyone know where windows saves your password for when you log in to windows?

Passwords are stored in C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\SAM (not a dir, actually a file). Since XP SP2 encryption has been improved using a "syskey" located in the file C:\WINDOWS\system32\config\system.
