if you hit F5 then it does show you the error, but if you hit F7 then it lets you compile the script & does not display any errors. Result: you run the script & if it executes this part of the code you get error message box.

hopefully you will fix this in the future so that it will error if you hit F7

Sorry But when I hit F7, i get error message that says

Compile doesn't do a syntax check, just lexing, and has never done so.

That is why, when using the full SciTE4Autoit3 version, we run au3check to filters most of the errors out.

So.. bottomline : You are responsible for doing proper testing before compiling the script!
