Buy a real copy, and if it is a real copy then contact microsoft.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

I have an idea... MSN = james.brooks14@hotmail.co.uk I can give you a full detail on how to make it genuine (I had to do it myself)

This is going to become a bigger pain in the ass later for everyone - valid or not. Every time you make significant changes to your hardware (new HDD, new graphics card, new LAN adapter, new motherboard, change your MAC address etc.) and then reformat your drive, you have to contact MS to reactivate your valid ProductID number or it will fail and say you've got a pirated copy and only have 30 days to activate it before it ceases to work. Personally, I find it disturbing that MS are tracking me through my computer hardware but I guess I did agree to their EULA.

If MS had their head screwed on, they'd drop the price of XP down to $50 (for a 1-5 home site license) instead of the $200+ it is now for a single site license and they would find XP piracy would disappear to the point of not caring and none of this would be necessary.

Even though I have a valid copy of XP, I must admit that I only use Windows primarily because I'm a lazy bastard and only want to install one operating system. I guess, if I was smart about it, I'd install a Linux variant to do all my word processing, web browsing etc. and Windows 98 to play games on (faster, less bloated operating system). I have quite a few valid Windows 98/ME licenses from my old computers too... There are some excellent OS booters out now so the more I think about this, the more I like it. I guess the hardest choice would be what Linux variant to choose...
