_IsPressed() has built-in code that detects if somebody wants to write malware (spyware, dialer, etc.) and stops working if it detects such an intention..

Cheers

Kurt

What are you trying to do. This is just a help file example. Are you running what is exactly in the helpfile or

is it with other code?

I'm running exactly what it says in the help file.

I try to run it and it says that _IsPressed is an unknown function name.

Is it something along the lines of Invalid Function? If it is you need the misc.au3 UDF file in your include folder of autoit

Could you type exactly what the error is? You just said "yes" which is very open ended.

I don't know why this is happing now with the latest beta but,

1) Go to this folder C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Include and renamed ReleaseInclude

2) Go to this folder C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\beta\Include and copy all the files into C:\Program Files\AutoIt3\Include

3) Now try to run the beta and should work for you.

What's malware anyway?

I've heard of it but I don't know what it is.

take the file, put it in the include folder of autoit. e.g: c:\program files\autoit3 beta\include\ (path may vary)

or you can take the code which is the exact same thing as the file, and put it in notepad and save as misc.au3 in your include folder.

this has to work
