So where is the .au3 file?

5 posts in this topic

I am just upgrading to v3.

i am using the SciTE Script Editor to write the scripts, i am guessing this is the correct editor.

WHen i save a file, say to the desktop, it does not save it as any type of file. meaning it does not save it in .au3 form. os this correct, am i doing something wrong?

so when i go to compile my script, i have to click on show all files, then the "blank" file.

i have looked around the site and FAQ and i see screenshots of files being saved correctly, so why is it not doing it for me? i would like it to save correctly so i do not have to take the time for the extra step of converting files, and basically just want to understand why its not saving correctly.

thanks.

Just name it X plus the extension of au3 -
