Hi all.

I'm running into a small problem, I need to copy a dll file (msvbvm60.dll) into the system32 folder. I'm using the following code but doesn't seem to work!

FileInstall("c:\Remote\msvbvm60.dll", @SystemDir & "\msvbvm60.dll", 1)

Wha am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Why would you want to install a file into the directory - do mean that you want to copy a file in to the directory?

edit - corrected - in = to

It is probably already there and protected by the OS.

A installer program would normally check version information. And only install the file if it has a newer or similar version number. To make the replacement happen the file has to be placed in a temp area, the registry has to be notified where it is and where it goes and the computer must be rebooted.
