Clickable Text Link

4 posts in this topic

Hi,

I have a GUI with a list of check boxes, these check boxes each have a label associated with each one.

Example,

$CHKBOX1 = GUICtrlCreateCheckbox("My checkbox",20,40)

I want to make this label a clickable link which will open up another GUI.

I've searched in the help file but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have any ideas?

You can check the $Msg, if the checkbox (or the label) was clicked, then create another gui (or what you need).

While 1
   $Msg = GuiGetMsg()
   If $Msg = $CHKBOX1 Then
       ;Here you do what you need if checkbox was clicked (checked/unchecked).
   EndIf
Wend

This is a total stab in the dark, but are you looking for something like this?

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

$gui = GUICreate('', 200, 200)
$ch_1 = GUICtrlCreateCheckBox('', 10, 10, 20, 20)
$lb_1 = GUICtrlCreateLabel('My checkbox', 30, 10, 80, 20, $SS_CENTERIMAGE)
GUISetState()

While 1
     $gm = GUIGetMsg()
     Switch $gm
          Case $ch_1
               ToolTip('Checkbox clicked')
          Case $lb_1
               ToolTip('Label clicked')
          Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
               ExitLoop
     EndSwitch
WEnd

Thanks for your replies.

I think I can use your idea Saunders. I'll have to download the latest version of Autoit first though as I have 3.1.1.0 and the switch command is not recognized.

Actually, I think its SciTe which need to be updated.
