MrEd Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Our standard is Last-First for the sAMAccount name. We are now using an unnamed piece of crap Identity Manager that insists on all upper case names. I am hoping to just use AutoIt to do the users one at a time as I live in fear of a PowerShell script going mad on my directory. I downloaded and installed the UDF _StringChooseCase (thanks a million!). But it refuses to capitalize after the hyphen. Actually, I think it is for that very reason it was created :-) Ideas? Ed
computergroove Posted December 11, 2014 Posted December 11, 2014 Can you give an example snippet of the data you are getting the names from? Just a few lines will work. You can use stringsplit https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions/StringSplit.htm to separate the names and then add the hyphen in later. Get Scite to add a popup when you use a 3rd party UDF -> http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/SciTE4AutoIt3/user-calltip-manager.html
Developers Jos Posted December 11, 2014 Developers Posted December 11, 2014 Just stringsplit the name on the hyphen, proper case the 2 words and concatenate them again with an hyphen in-between.
