sqa Posted September 13, 2016 Posted September 13, 2016 I need to connect and perform some automation to an opened already www page. I tried: Local $oIE=_IEAttach("Home") Local $oForm = _IEFormGetObjectByName($oIE,"lastName") ;trying to find a text-box that has name=lastName _IEFormElementSetValue($oForm,"test") when I run it I am getting: Invalid object type. what's wrong with my understanding how AutoIt works with IE? Thanks _
spudw2k Posted November 28, 2016 Posted November 28, 2016 (edited) Try adding some error checking to see which function(s) are failing. You can inspect the value of @error right after the _IEAttach and _IEFormGetObject functions to validate their execution. (error return codes are listed on the linked help file pages).
