Yes I have searched, but nothing I find can I get to run without error. I don't want any interaction, gui or otherwise.  I wish to have a tcp listener, hand it the port on the command line, have it listen on<port> and allow incoming connections from anywhere, take the payload of the connection and append it to a local file.  I need the port to stay servicing connections until the exe is killed. I have done this in perl and will use the perl client to connect with, but I don't want just convert the perl server to exe, since autoit seems to do it in a more windows compliant manner.

On my signature, take a look on TCPServer lib. It will allow you to create multiclients TCP listeners very easily!

Actually here's the code (you will need to download my UDF):

#include "TCPServer.au3"

; First we set the callback that will be called when one client sends some "payload"

; Set some parameters

; Finally we start the server at port <port> (from command line parameter) at any interface
If $CmdLine[0] Then
    Exit ConsoleWrite("Usage: " & @ScriptName & " <port>")

; this function, as we've set, will be called when clients send some content
Func received($iSocket, $sIP, $sData, $sPar)
    ; write received contents to YourFile.txt
    FileWrite("YourFile.txt", $sData)
EndFunc   ;==>received

; Loop forever so the script will not close
While 1
