Hypertrophy Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 There is a limit to how much data can be in a section in an ini file. IniReadSection will only read up to 32,767 chars, but what if I used a .txt file instead of .ini. Would I have any limits and would the ini functions work on it.
Hawkwing Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 You could have easily tested yourself to see whether the ini functions work with .txt files, which, yes they do. I'm not sure about any limitations though. The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again.
water Posted September 21, 2009 Posted September 21, 2009 I think the limitation isn't with the file type (ini or txt) it's with the functions. As long as you use INI* functions you are limited to 32k.
