I am sorry I cannot justify or explain any reason why anyone would want to do this

Using a programming/scripting tool made for windows in Unix seems completely pointless to me.

But don't get me wrong, apart from AutoIt and one or two other nice programs there's no reason for me to use Windows.

Actually several people have reported success with porting via WINE.

I don't have Linux, but I thought Wine was for running .exe files. The OP wants to know whether AutoIt can compile to .bin.

Sorry, you are correct. He/she would have to compile to exe, then port using Wine. A warning though, it's been reported that a few of the AutoIt functions don't port well so you may or may not be successful.
