goodbyeplanet Posted November 4, 2010 Posted November 4, 2010 This line: %windir%\system32\sysocmgr.exe /i:%windir%\inf\sysoc.infopens the windows components in windows xp when typed into the run box. I tried to use it into autoit by doing this run("%windir%\system32\sysocmgr.exe /i:%windir%\inf\sysoc.inf ") but it doesnt run. may you help me how i can do it. thanks

Run(@SystemDir & '\sysocmgr.exe /i:' & @WindowsDir & '\inf\sysoc.inf') You could have made the original work by setting: Opt("ExpandEnvStrings", 1) That would allow the environment variable %windir% to expand correctly for you.
