water Posted July 4, 2011 Posted July 4, 2011 When we started the OutlookEX UDF I was running Outlook 2002 and so I tested all functions with this quite old version. I moved on to Outlook 2010 and therefore can't any longer test with Outlook 2002. The OutlookEX UDF will be extended with functionality that is not available in versions older than Outlook 2007. My question is: Does anyone use a version older than Outlook 2007 with our UDF? GEOSoft Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 I've had no requirement for the UDF so far but if I do it will be on Outlook 2003. George Question about decompiling code? Tvern Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Summary: 2003 and later for me. After using Office 2007 for a few weeks I reverted back to 2003 as I just didn't like it. I've also installed Office 2003 for quite a few people since. (often replacing Office 2007) I've heard that Office 2010 is generally seen as an improvement by people that didn't like 2007, but for now I'm happy where I am. Until there is a version that will win most of the Office 2003 fans over I would like to see continued support, but later versions should always have higher priority in my opinion. I believe Office 2003 is a valid alternative to Office 2002, which can be switched to without causing too much confusion. Because of that I believe support for Office 2002 is less critical. Now the word "Office" looks weird to me.
