Read a file (not .txt)

Hello,

I'm trying to read the content of a non-txt file (.exe or .rar or .zip or ...).

FileOpen with option 16 Force binary mode doesn't work.

$File_Handle = FileOpen($Filename_Path, 0+16)
$File_Content = FileRead($File_Handle)
FileClose($File_Handle)
MsgBox(0, "", $File_Handle)

Can someone help me please?

Once again for everyone asking for help on this forum: "Doesn't work" isn't a valid description for a problem!

You do no error checking in your script. So you can't be sure that FileOpen or Fileread worked properly. Check the return value and @error after each function and let us know aht you get.

FileOpen returns -1.

MsgBox is empty.

Sounds like it's not finding the file to open, or can't open it if it does find it.

Call function FileExist and check the return value before doing FileOpen. So you can make sure that any error FileOpen returns is caused by problems reading the file.

I'm an idiot. I was trying with the file abc.zip but in the script I've written $Filename_Path = "abc.rar"
