You have to have more than 5 posts (no problem, you have 7) to edit your own post. Below your post on the right side you find the text "Edit" in a light grey. Move the mouse over the text (it will become darker) and click.

Thanks, water. I DID see the text "Edit" show up, but it is not always there. For example, I cannot see it on my original post just above your reply. So I cannot edit my original post to say "Solved". What am I missing?

It looks like "Edit" only shows up on my most recent post. I was able to edit this post right after I posted it, but I cannot edit my original post, because the "Edit" text does not appear on that post.

Maybe the limit to edit the first post is higher (20?). I searched the forum but couldn't find the actual limit.

cmpyutr,

To edit the thread title, edit the first post but select the "Use Full Editor" option - then the title is opened for editing as well. But please only add [solved] or similar, do not replace the original title as it useful for forum searching. :D

is there another limit (besides the 5 posts limit to edit the own posts) for the first post?
