kiffab Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Hi Guys I'm trying to workaround a problem by bulk printing a bunch of documents. They are in PDF format and I have managed to dig out a list of them from a database. Is it possible to automate the printing part using something like pdf creator? If so, any pointers? Thanks
water Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 If you have Acobat Reader installed you can use command line switches to print a file:"Print a PDF file silently: AcroRd32.exe /N /T PdfFile PrinterName [ PrinterDriver [ PrinterPort ] ]" My UDFs and Tutorials: Spoiler UDFs: Active Directory (NEW 2024-07-28 - Version 1.6.3.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki ExcelChart (2017-07-21 - Version 0.4.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts OutlookEX (2021-11-16 - Version 1.7.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki OutlookEX_GUI (2021-04-13 - Version 1.4.0.0) - Download Outlook Tools (2019-07-22 - Version 0.6.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki PowerPoint (2021-08-31 - Version 1.5.0.0) - Download - General Help & Support - Example Scripts - Wiki Task Scheduler (2022-07-28 - Version 1.6.0.1) - Download - General Help & Support - Wiki Standard UDFs: Excel - Example Scripts - Wiki Word - Wiki Tutorials: ADO - Wiki WebDriver - Wiki
kiffab Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks. This looks useful. I can do it for a single print but it complains when trying to print via batch file. AcroRd32.exe /N /T "c:pdfpds1.pdf" myprinter AcroRd32.exe /N /T "c:pdfpdf2.pdf" myprinter c:program files.........acrord32.exe is not a valid win32 application.

kiffab Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks. I actually think I've broken Adobe trying this so I'll reinstall. Thanks for all your help guys =)
water Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Using a program with defined parameters shouldn't break it.
