puvanes 0 Posted January 29, 2013 Hi all, I’m new to this forum. I need to close/disable screen when a user click on help option in third party software and open our own help file. Can I know how to do this and is that possible to do that in autoitscript? Thanks.

water 2,365 Posted January 29, 2013 It depends on the screen that pops up. Can you post a screenshot? water 2,365 Posted January 30, 2013 Please wait at least 24 hours before you bump a thread. This isn't a 24 hours support forum! You could use WinWait in a loop until the Window pops up,close it and open your own help file. To give you more detailed information we need more information about your application (screenshot ...). puvanes 0 Posted January 31, 2013 (edited) Thanks for your advice. Below is the code I’m using. If anything wrong in that please advise me.$stillLooking = TrueWhile $stillLooking $activeWindowTitle = WinGetTitle(WinActive("Surveillance Client")) If $activeWindowTitle == " Surveillance Client" ThenWinKill("Surveillance Client")If WinExists("help.txt") ThenWinKill("help.txt")EndIfShellExecute("help.txt", "", "C:temp") EndIf sleep(2)WEnd Edited January 31, 2013 by puvanes
water 2,365 Posted January 31, 2013 Looks good. I would raise the wait time in to Sleep(250) so CPU utilization stays low. This still checks 4 times a second for the window.
