Running Script on a server that needs interaction. How can I make it login?

6 posts in this topic

I have a script that needs to interact with the desktop of a server. That server should really never been logged in at the console. So, I would like to add something that will log into the PC so that it may interact with the gui like it needs to. I searched the forum and did not see anything like this.

Still unable to find a solution for this. The script is working, I just need to make sure I am logged into the PC. It would be a great help to automate this. This is server 2003 x64

thanks

Hello wisem2540

I'm sorry, but I do not understand your question:

if no one is logged on to the server, no desktop is available to interact with.

What does your script do on that server?

small minds discuss people average minds discuss events great minds discuss ideas.... and use AutoIt....

So are you saying you want something to run a Autoit script from a PC to interact with a Server? And effectively you need to authenticate the log in process on that server?

Depending on the nature of the script there may be way to automate it without having an interactive session. Can you elaborate on what you are automating? How are you interacting with the GUI (controlsend, winactive, etc...)?
